grad trip?! part 2 [23 May - 27 May 2006]

wat i diden mention in part 1 was i dropped my right contact lens in the sink on the last nite in Korea... and had to make a new one... sigh...but this new lens i got .. is super clear.. and it was a blessing in disguise.. i nv had a contacts this clear haha.. back to topic...

well..this trip was initially not part of my plans haha..but well my nice er jie and her hubby.. the nice "Evil Chien gor gor" paid for my plane ticket and accomodation... haha.. so i went haha.. it was fun staying with trisha.. whom when i first saw was only a primary 2 little girl.. so cute.. and even stayed with me overnight in my room haha... time flies.. she is already sec 1... well.. it was fun...

Day 1 is the day we fly to Chiang Mai.. but the flight delayed for 1 hour... and it was the first time i entered a Budget terminal.. so cool... to enter.. you juz need to scan your passport bar code (only for new passports) and u will pass the first barrier.. and after scanning your thumb print.. you will pass the 2nd barrier haha..so high tech sia... we took Tiger Airways.. first time i see the plane so small in comparison to the other big planes we usually take.. so cute.. haha.. by them time we reach Chiang Mai it is already dinner time.. we ate near the hotel and headed back to get our beauty sleep.. haha...

Day 2 came.. and it was touring day... we went to the Maetaman Elephant Camp to watch the elephant show.. so cool... with their trunks... they can draw elephants like this:

den it was last minute.. i took an elephant ride with Trisha and Travis (Trisha's younger bro).. it was a 1hr BUMPY trekking but it was really fun.. but at the end.. our arms ache as we hafta hold on tight to the basket dat we sat on.. otherwise it seems we will fall haha... this is Caleb's sis and her husband haha... (Trisha's aunt and uncle)...

after which.. we went to see the Long Neck Village and i bought a shaw.. we were told they were actually not willing to stay.. but the govt made them stay there and promise to give their children free education... haiz.. wat to do.. this is considered a tourist attraction.. they are so poor thg... the gold rings around their necks are really heavy!!

den we headed to the Sai nam Phung Orchid Mae Rim Chiangmai... it was an Orchid plantation and they even haf very old jaguars... like this:

den we headed to Mae Sa Snake Farm.. haha.. we manage to make it for the snake show... it was really a funny host as his voice is monotonous (which was intentional) and it was really entertaining...

soon it was time to head back for the hotel... me and trisha love to 'nua' in our room.. our hobbie haha.. and watch tv.. haha... and crapping haha..

Day 3 onwards was all shopping.. we went to 2 central shopping centres.. i cannot recall wat the first one was called but the 2nd one was call Central Airport Plaza.. it is really near the airport... well.. the prices there are not as cheap as Bangkok and we made a conclusion... Chiang Mai is more of a sightseeing area haha...

Day 4 was also shopping.. we walk under the really SCORCHING HOT sun and until 12pm.. our group split into 2... my erjie being pregnant would be too torturing for her.. so my er jie, her hubby aka Caleb, trisha and me headed to the hotel to NUA!! and the rest (Caleb's 2 sisters and their husband and Travis) went on walking around.. haha..and we went to a nearby McDonalds to eat! haha.. and went back..we all slept to be ready for our night bazaar... we intend to cheong the nite bazaar since we haf been slacking too many nites in the hotel.. den dinner came quickly and we went to cheong the nite bazaar outside... there was nothing much to buy too.. but it was fun.. i got a gameboy game hahaa...

Day 5.. our last day in Chiang Mai... after breakfast.. trisha and me nua in the room.. the rest went swimming haha.. i went to sleep and trisha.. who wanted to go to my er jie's room (which our rooms are connected) to watch tv.. fell asleep next to me in my bed!! haha.. so funny... both of us had 2 single bed but we ended up sleeping in one bed together.. but well.. it was not squeezy so we slept soundly.. and lunchtime came.. we went to the Central Airport Plaze again to shop abit more.. well.. i did make some last minute shopping haha.. bought a pair of earrings!! haha.. and it was time to head back to the hotel...collect our luggage and den make our way to the airport... well... i already miss home... so i was happy!! haha..

but sadly.. as it was the last flight.. they did not haf enuf food in the airplane for us to purchase.. me and caleb sacrificed and gave the last instant noodle to my erjie (and my nephew-to-be)... both of us endured hunger with coke (for caleb) and apple juice (for me)... by the time i reached Sg.. i was famished and had a little gastric... my da jie came to pick us up.. and i had some milo at home and i felt betta.. phew haha..
